The Woody Guthrie

The ferry sloop Woody Guthrie requires yearly maintenance to allow it to continue offering free educational sails on the Hudson River.

Since 1978 the sloop Woody Guthrie has given thousands of people their first experience on a sailboat and their first experience of beauties of the river and the surrounding mountains from the vantage point of her deck.

The Beacon Sloop Club needs your help to keep the Woody afloat. We are currently fabricating a new boom, repairing sails, and performing routine maintenance. We are an all-volunteer organization which relies on the public for support.

Please contribute what you can to help keep Pete and Toshi's dream alive!
